Projects
Open-source tools from Dynamodal, including Yak, a local-first time tracker and note taker with peer-to-peer sync.
Things I’ve built, mostly for myself and the people I work with. They’re open source, and you’re welcome to use them, fork them, or send feedback.
Yak
Your Activity Keeper: a time tracker with Markdown notes and tasks that runs entirely in your browser. I built it for myself and for fellow consultants who bill by the hour and keep notes on everything.
- No install, no account, and no server holding your data
- Optional peer-to-peer sync between your own devices; the relay only introduces them and never sees your data
- Notes and tasks are plain Markdown, with an Obsidian plugin that syncs both ways
- Toggl import, and CSV and JSON export
- Built to pass an IT review: no remote code, a strict security policy, and few dependencies
Yak is in alpha. I built it largely with AI coding agents, as a hands-on test of the workflows I help teams adopt.
More of my work is on GitHub.
